Professional golfer Tiger Woods kept an incredible pace this week — as only Tiger can do — by sinking a 24-foot putt on the 18th hole in a come-from-behind win in the Arnold Palmer Invitational last weekend. Somewhere in between, Tiger, who is speculated to become the first billion-dollar athlete by 2010, reportedly sealed a deal to buy a magnificent 13,200-square-foot mansion on the quaintly named Gin Lane in Southampton that was listed for $65 million dollars.
If the sale price does come in higher than $58 million, it will be the highest-priced “single-parcel” property sale ever in the Hamptons. Tiger’s the one guy out of 4 who scoffs at the word recession
